The lore is true. There was a time when SXSW Music was a dating game for bands and labels. I always pack too much when i go to austin, even though i am there for a full ten day conference.

the truth is, i only usually need the following items for the 10 day conference:

• one pair of jeans. maybe 2. i mean, i'd like to switch. but usually...just one is fine. gross and fine.
• 3 comfy T shirts
• 2 kinda cute but still comfy shirts but probably only 1
